Why is it that when we live so close to historical landmarks we make it so difficult to visit them? Maybe because we don’t want to deal with the city traffic or because the popular tourist spots are always crowded? One thing is for certain, New Yorkers and their surrounding neighbors don’t seem to make much of an effort to visit the landmarks that the entire rest of the world dreams of seeing some day.

My trip to the Statue of Liberty this past September with Statue Cruises gave me a whole new perspective on visiting NYC attractions. They made my trip a memorable and convenient experience.

My tickets were reserved ahead of time. On the day of, I picked them up at the Will Call booth in Castle Clinton in Battery Park where there was barely any wait. My guest and I headed down to the ferry and enjoyed New York’s most iconic views on our way to the Statue of Liberty

Our passes included pedestal access. Once we arrived at Liberty Island, we made our way up to enjoy the history and views that Lady Liberty has to offer.
