Atlantic City was a fashionista’s paradise this past weekend as the normal shore and casino destination, hosted Atlantic City Fashion Week. The event took place at the Pier Shops in Caesars. Thursday September 26th kicked off the week with an awards and welcoming event. It concluded Sunday September 28th with South Asian fashion. I had the pleasure of modeling on Saturday for two high fashion and couture designers. It was a long day of preparation that began early at 10:00 AM with show time at 7:00 PM. However, it was non-stop action behind the scenes during runway practice, fittings, hair and makeup. Motives Cosmetics provided skilled makeup artists and dynamic color palettes to fit every shade. With about 50 models in the show and multiple personalities, there was never a dull moment. Here are some behind the scene pictures from hair and makeup.
By 6:30 PM the mood was set for ShowTime as the DJ played music to greet the arriving crowd. The runway was strategically placed in the fountain on the first floor so water and lights would be as we sashayed down the runway.
I had the pleasure of meeting Celia Cabral who is the Beauty Editor at Bravuramagazine.com. She’s wearing a beautiful Seema Sharma dress, who was also a designer on Saturday. Atlantic City Fashion Week showcased a variety looks for every style. These designers were truly at the top of their game.
One of my two looks was a black and white corset by Waisted Lace Corsets based in Australia. You can find their unique, custom designs at https://www.facebook.com/WaistedLaceCorsets
Here I am wearing Indian designer Mitan Ghosh. She bought a unique, colorful, funky flare with vibrant designs. Those pants were very comfortable!
For all who were unable to attend the Fall edition of Atlantic City Fashion week, another one will be held in November. All information can be found at atlanticcityfashionweek.net. It’s an event you don’t want to miss.
