Out for a Jog

In honor of Earth Day, we did our last photo shoot in a place that proudly represents Mother Nature, and everything that it stands for. The Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park, NJ is a natural gem. From the beautiful lake, to the open green fields, and it’s spectacular wild life, this is a place for everyone. My favorite thing about Garret Mountain are the panoramic views of the neighboring cities and the New York City skyline itself. Did you know that our little Passaic County park is one of twelve National Natural Landmarks (NNL) designated in New Jersey by the National Park Service? That is something to be proud of. This magnificent reservation attracts a large number of visitors all year around, specially to jog in their 3.8 mile trail and to visit it’s historic castle and observation tower.

So I didn’t literally run 3.8 miles in these heels, but I believe that the jogger pants were a great theme for this location. We have been wearing joggers for years. Sweat pants have always been a traditional trend; Either to work out, or keep warm in the winter. However, fashionistas felt the need to style them up and started wearing them with heels. The trend grew even bigger when jogger pants started being fabricated in different materials other than cotton or wool. Now you can wear these cute pieces up or down, you choose. Either way, they’re still stylish.
