Honeymooners in Aruba

Planning a honeymoon can be a stressful time. With wedding preparations it becomes difficult to find time to plan your getaway for after the big day. With so many different places around the world you can visit, choosing the perfect place can be a challenge. I had the pleasure of planning my honeymoon recently, and I have good news. It will all be worth it in the end!

Make sure when deciding to base it on location.  Does it fit your style and economic capabilities? I got married in November and couldn’t take too much time off from work, since I am a teacher.  We had to think of a location that was quick to get to and that was warm.  After many different options and an intense elimination process, we decided on the fabulous island of Aruba! We felt that it was the perfect destination to enjoy our honeymoon. My husband and I  were ready for some Caribbean sun!

When planning your Honeymoon always make sure to do your research on different package options that are offered and hotels in your selected destination. We stayed at La Cabana Beach Resort & Casino

This hotel was a great choice; with spacious clean rooms, casino, large pool with a waterslide and the beach at a walking distance. The resort allows you to relax and take in the beautiful sights of Aruba. We enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon. Our hotel room had a beautiful view of the pool and ocean.

There is a lot to do and see on the island. We stayed in Aruba for six days and took advantage of some attractions. The main activities that we did were the island Jeep Safari tour and a sunset cruise on the ocean. We also did a lot of relaxing on the beaches. Aruba is mainly known more for it’s amazing beaches and excellent restaurants.

The clear blue beaches are amazing. There are many water activities you can do. Some of the water activities that we enjoyed were snorkeling, Jet ski and a sunset cruise like I mentioned earlier. It was a great experience in the beautiful waters of Aruba. One thing that is amazing about this country is the food. No matter where we ate everything was fresh and tasted great. Some of our favorite restaurants were Screaming Eagle, which has very authentic food and you must step out of your comfort zone to try it, but it’s well worth it. Papiamento is a hidden gem worth visiting, Gianni’s has the best Italian food in Aruba, Cuba’s Cooking left us in awe, we were very ecstatic to find our cultural cooking, and Flying Fishbone is the most romantic restaurant where you sit on the beach and see the sunset as you eat with the flying fish in the water.

So if you’re planning your honeymoon consider the beautiful island of Aruba. It has beaches, relaxation, hiking, activities and much more for everyone. Below you will see some of the fabulous pictures of our trip. I hope that you say Hello to Aruba soon.
