Extinguish Your Sunburn


Nothing like a beautiful day under the sun; except for the mortifying moment when you realize that you have been sunburned! If you are one of the very few people out there who has never experienced sunburn, consider yourself fortunate. The way that I described my first sunburn was as “a piece of the sun caught under my skin”.

“Sunbaking” as I like to call it has to be one of the most uncomfortable feelings that a human can experience. Not to mention the damage that it can cause to your skin and how much you are exposed to skin cancer. Because we know how urgent sunburns need to be treated, we have decided to share our 3 secret remedies to cure them.

Tea Treatment

green tea

1/4 Cup of brewed green tea, cooled to room temp.
1/4 Cup of aloe vera juice
1/4 Tsp of lavender essential oil

Mix together all ingredients in a spray bottle & shake well.
Spray onto the burned area as often as needed.
Keep refrigerated. Good for 2 weeks

Natural Aloe Treatment

3-4 In pieces of natural aloe vera plant, sliced in half
1 Tbsp of coconut oil
1 Tsp of raw honey

Rub aloe vera all over affected area. Than let it dry for about 90 secs.
Rub coconut oil over affected area.
Rub honey over the most damaged or blistered areas.
Let it soak in over night.

Cucumber & Aloe Body Mask


2 Cups of chopped & peeled cucumbers
1/4 Cup of aloe vera gel
1 Teaspoon of whole milk yogurt

Combine everything in a food processor, and blend until smooth.
Store in the refrigerator
Smooth over burned skin, and let sit until warm.
Rinse, pat dry.

Good for 1 week
